What Have Students Who Worked With Our Physicians Said

Student 1: The physician gives students lots of opportunities to see patients and practice documentation. He also gives formative feedback on documentation errors when they are made and how to correct them. He is very knowledgeable and trusts the student to see patients independently, which really helped with my learning since I am very hands on. I learned a lot during my time with him. This was a great experience overall and I feel I have significantly improved my clinical skills.

Student 2: This is a busy clinic where you get a lot of experience seeing patients on your own and improve your patient interaction, history taking, note writing, and physical exam skills as well as differential diagnosis. I saw a variety of common pediatric cases and the case modules correlate well with it. You also get to see newborn babies at the hospital as well as procedures such as circumcisions. I would recommend this rotation to other students.

Student 3: This would be a good rotation for 4th year students interested in pediatrics. The physician is an excellent preceptor to have to learn from. You get to see your own patients, do a full examination, present to the preceptor, and have constructive feedback from the preceptor related to the case. I have improved on my case presentation, physical exam skills, assessment and plan, and most importantly, patient care.
Thank you again for all that you do for us, and the students that you share your knowledge with by precepting
