Oculoplastic Surgery U.S Clinical Rotation in California

This rotation will be with a physician who graduated with distinction from Mills College in pre-medical studies, the doctor went on to achieve his Medical Doctorate from the prestigious University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. His pursuit of excellence continued through a rigorous Residency in Ophthalmology at UC Davis, where he honed his expertise in ocular health and surgery.

This rotation will be in Saint Luis Obispo, California with an Oculoplastic surgeon.

Responsibilities and expectations:

1) The student will start by observing and then seeing patients, taking history, and developing their own assessments and plans. They will observe surgeries and MAY assist in the OR.

2) Setting: outpatient practice in San Luis obispo California with exposure to a variety of pathologies and patient presentations.

3) Based on student performance during rotation, student will obtain a letter of recommendation (with clinic letterhead) from the physician.

4) One student will be accepted for each month.

Requirements:

1) We require that all students have up-to-date immunization such as Hep B, Tdap, Covid -19, MMR, flu.

2) We are happy to give students a paper they can provide to the embassy that proves their participation in the rotation. But we don’t guarantee the visa.

3) Fees are non-refundable if the student was not able to show up to the rotation. If notice is given 60 days prior to the start of the rotation date, a 40% refund will be processed.

Duration: 4 weeks

Availability in 2024:

The rotation is available starting every Monday of the month.
