Student 3

“This would be a good rotation for 4th year students interested in pediatrics. The physician is an excellent preceptor to have to learn from. You get to see your own patients, do a full examination, present to the preceptor, and have constructive feedback from the preceptor related to the case. I have improved on my case presentation, physical exam skills, assessment and plan, and most importantly, patient care.
Thank you again for all that you do for us, and the students that you share your knowledge with by precepting.”

Frequently

Asked Questions

How do I know which specialties are available?

All available rotations are posted on this page. For details regarding the specialty, location, setting, and price, check the page of each available rotation.

Are the rotations inpatient or outpatient? Are the rotations hands-on?

The setting and exposure of the rotation vary based on each rotation. For details regarding the specialty, location, setting (inpatient vs. outpatient), hands-on vs. observership, and price, check the page of each available rotation. The responsibilities and requirements for each rotation are different and are available on the respective rotation page.

Do I need to get malpractice insurance?

If the rotation is hands-on, it is highly recommended that you buy malpractice insurance to avoid liability from medical mistakes during your rotation. The student has to buy the malpractice insurance separately but we will provide recommendations for available options.

Do I need health insurance and/or immunization forms?

Generally, yes. The responsibilities and requirements for each rotation are different and are available on the respective rotation page.

Does the price include accommodation and transportation?

No. The price of the rotation does not cover accommodation and transportation.

Do you offer refunds after I buy the product if I was not able to show up to the rotation?

Fees are non-refundable if the student was not able to show up to the rotation unless a written notice was given 60 days ahead of the rotation start date (in this case, a 50% refund will be processed). For any questions prior to making the order, please reach out to info@thematchguy.com

Do you offer VISA sponsorship?

Some of our rotations offer a letter that you can use to obtain VISA while others do not. To check which rotations offer this letter, check the individual rotation requirements page. Even for rotations that offer the letter you can use for your VISA interview, we do NOT guarantee that you will get the VISA and you are fully responsible for obtaining the VISA.

Will I get a letter of recommendation?

Yes, you will get a letter of recommendation if you perform well during the rotation. However, students who don’t show up to the rotation or don’t perform the tasks of the rotation will not be getting a letter of recommendation. Fees are non-refundable if the student was not able to get the visa and show up to the rotation unless a written notice was given 60 days ahead of the rotation start date (in this case, a 50% refund will be processed).

Are USMLE exams or English tests required to participate?
